Standard First Aid

Standard First Aid with AED

American Red Cross AED Essentials

It’s a shocking situation.  Learn the skills and knowledge needed to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). top

First Aid--When Help is Delayed

Building on basic level if information learned in American Red Cross First Aid course, this module provides the individual with the additional knowledge and skill on how to respond to emergencies when Emergency Medical Services is more than 30 minutes away.  Such situations where this knowledge could be important include: wilderness and rural areas, disaster and workplace environments, as well as situations involving water related activities. top

First Aid

Navigating the battlefield of life can leave you or your loved ones bruised or broken.  Learn how to provide basic care for injuries and sudden illness until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.  This course does not include information on breathing or cardiac emergencies. top

Pet First Aid for Cats and Dogs

Love your animals?  Learn the basic first aid techniques for cats and dogs due to common illness, injury or a life-threatening condition. top

Adult CPR

When you know CPR you can save lives.  Learn how to recognize and respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies.  Early response can increase the chance of victim survival. top

Adult CPR/AED

Have a heart! Learn CPR/AED and save a life!  CPR with AED (automated external defibrillator) skills will allow you to help a sudden cardiac arrest victim until advanced medical personnel arrive. top

Child CPR

Do you have children between the ages of 1-8?  Then you could use this course.  It gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in children until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. top

Infant CPR

If you have a baby younger than one year old, try learning the skills necessary to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. top

Infant and Child CPR

Are you a grandparent, parent or child-care provider?  Get the skills necessary to prevent, recognize and to provide basic care for infants and children when breathing and cardiac emergencies occur. top

Know the fit between you and your job and/or reduce the risks of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).  This module gives individuals an introduction to the knowledge necessary to identify and reduce the risk of MSDs. top

Slips, Trips, & Falls

Oops!  Check your sole—shoes that is.  Learn to identify and reduce the risks of slips, trips and falls. top

Babysitter's Training

The purpose of the American Red Cross Babysitter's Training course is to provide individuals, ages 11-15, with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism; basic care; safety and safe play; and first aid. top

Preventing Disease Transmission

Human Immune Deficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis A, B & C, and other blood-born infections— Reduce the number of employees who contract these by teaching your employees safe workplace practices and to report and follow up on employee exposure to infectious materials.  This course meets OSHA requirements. top

Sport Safety Training with Adult CPR

Adults + tackle football can = a lot of pain.  You can be the one who knows what to do to help provide a safe environment to adult athletes while they are participating in sports ad in an emergency to help sustain life and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until medical help arrives. top

Water Safety Instructor

Love kids? Love water? Love both at the same time?  This course will train you to teach the Infant and Preschool Aquatic Program; the seven levels of the Learn to Swim Program; the Community Water Safety and Water Safety Instructor Aide courses.  top

American Red Cross GuardStart™: Lifeguarding Tomorrow

Think you might want to be a lifeguard? Try this preparation course.  The American Red Cross GuardStart: Lifeguarding Tomorrow is a program for youth that provides a foundation of aquatic and leadership knowledge, attitudes, and skills for future successful completion of the Red Cross Lifeguard Training course. top

Waterfront Lifeguarding

Lifeguarding at a waterfront - what a great way to spend your summer!  Get the skills to prevent and respond to emergencies at a waterfront to keep your summer safe. top

Basic Water Rescue

Don’t want or have time to take a second job as a lifeguard?  You can still learn the skills to have a safe summer while playing in the water.  This course provides non-lifeguarding individuals with the information and skills to protect themselves and assist others to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. top

Community Water Safety

Do you have a home pool or go to the lake?  The purpose of this course is to present information about various aquatic environments and their potential hazards and to inform the general public on how to safely participate in aquatic activities. top

The Lifeguard Management

The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguard Management course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage lifeguards and to create an environment that keeps patrons, lifeguards, and the aquatic facility safe. This course covers the responsibilities of a lifeguard supervisor, the selection and training of lifeguards, team building, principles of injury prevention, risk management, and emergency-response planning. top
